Old River-Winfree Founders Day is proud to report that from the July 2009 5K Run/Walk, we were able to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project in Loving Memory of Pfc. Wesley R. Riggs $5,210.96 in December 2009. As promised 10% of total proceeds $600 is going a Scholarship Fund set up at Barbers Hill High School benefiting a deserving Senior in Pfc Riggs name. July 16, 2010 will mark the Second Annual 5K Run/Walk with the same beneficiaries. Remember, 100% of the proceeds go to these worthy funds.
Trevor Lippe was the 2009-2010 School Year SENIOR who was awarded the $600 Pfc Wesley R. Riggs Memorial Scholarship Award.

If you have not donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, you may do it now Online for our area to send to them. we are keeping the books open from our event until August 15th, so get that donation in and be sure to tell your friends.
Also, 10% goes to a Perpetual Memorial Scholarship Fund at Barbers Hill High School in Memory of Pfc Wesley R. Riggs.
We will be able to add to this year after year.
